NAWSA
distributor for
Dynapar
Dynapar, the leading manufacturer of encoder products for the wind industry, has appointed NAWSA (North American Wind Service Alliance), the only integrated wind power service network in North America, as its distributor of their encoders to the wind generator industry.

As with many other uptower components, the Dynapar encoders are designed and built to withstand the rigors of this unique environment. Dynapar offers a range of encoders with specific applications to meet the manufacturing and maintenance requirements of the wind energy industry. From Yaw and Pitch to generator speed, Dynapar has the right rotary feedback equipment to replace or upgrade OEM components.

MERSEN components available through NAWSA Mersen
NAWSA has been appointed a North American distributor for Mersen wind generator carbon brushes, slip ring assemblies and wire transfer systems.

Mersen (formerly Carbone of America) is a proven leader in innovative material solutions involving graphite and other high performance materials. This expertise translates into their carbon brushes which are specifically designed to withstand the wind generators' hostile environments. Mersen components improve generating performance and their unique graphite composition can mean an extended life cycle and reduced costs.

NAWSA's North American coverage and its regional response is an ideal resource for these specialized carbon products and their service.

NAWSA Attends WindPower 12

NAWSA had a great WindPower12! Of course we were not able to provide our guests with the tradition NAWSA beer tap, but we had good number of visitors anyway! Members of the alliance were on hand to talk with visitors and answer any questions they might have had about NAWSA's services. Of particular interest was our 48 Hour Response program, but there were a lot of topics being discussed.

Warranty was a big one, especially for those whose equipment was about to reach the end of their coverage. Along with that there was talk about government programs and the impact of congressional action.

Maintenance is always a hot topic...every viewpoint from strict OEM schedules to run it till it dies. General consensus was that unless you are in severe financial troubles, the importance of maintenance is a no brainer.

It was good to see everyone who stopped by and be sure to look us up in Chicago for WindPower 13.

NAWSA Kudos

While NAWSA is proud of the work we do it is always nice to get a, "atta boy" every once in a while.

Our technicians are far more than "mechanics on a rope" and we strive not only to take care of the business at hand, but work well with on-site management and crews.
